We had a wonderful stay at Villa Verigo. The house was exactly as described and nothing was too much trouble for our host. The house is perfectly situated in the middle of Kythera so it is very easy to explore the whole Island. We would definitely recommend staying here!
Very nice place, the port is charming and the village very friendly, everything is close from the house. The view from the house is perfect. Andreas help us to rent a boat so we can see kythera from the sea. We will come back!! The house is well furnished and very clean !
Such an amazing experience to stay in the windmill! Everything was clean and tidy and we all felt right at home. Not everyone can say they’ve lived in a windmill but we can and they are the memories that really make a holiday. Comfortable beds, pillows, good hot water, excellent views.
What can I say. My stay at the house and on the island was absolute paradise, even in early November at a time when practically everything was close. The locals seemed to find it odd That I’d go for swims at this time of the year but it was 20 degrees and sunny out, I had the unspoilt beaches to myself and the warmer than my usual Canadian lakes. On top of its rustic charm and coziness, The house has the best deck/patio I’ve enjoyed in my life. It’s in the midst of a lush plantation of olive trees and trees of all sorts, commands a pristine view of one of Kythira’s southern bays and is just steps away from a dip by paleopoli beach. Just ideal for my writing project and solo time/contemplations away from my hectic city life. Andreas has proven to be an excellent host despite being a busy man. He went the extra mile by picking me up at the airport and driving to the port at the end of the trip and driving me to market on two occasions ( only had a bicycle, which he rented to me, an the market in nearby Avlemonas was close on two occasions. I’d recommend having a moto or car, by the way, unless you want to exercise proper. Cheers for a beaut of a voyage
Andreas was an excellent host, nothing was too much trouble and he was easily contactable throughout our stay. He had excellent knowledge of the island which helped plan our days out! I would be a bit hesitant traveling with young children as there are lots of steps down to the pool area. The house is actually much bigger than it seemed in the photos and the beautiful view of the countryside was an unexpected treat. we loved exploring the island and will definitely come back in the summer! Super cute little cottage set in gorgeous garden surroundings. Superb location (very private even though owners live on the property). We loved enjoying a glass of wine from the front patio overlooking the ocean. The host Andreas couldn’t have been more accommodating or helpful. We definitely recommend this accommodation, for a single or couple.
